OneMBA students at RSM Erasmus University discuss “Business Government & Society: Collaborating for Sustainability and Economic Growth” with a Leadership Panel

Rotterdam, the Netherlands, March 2007 --- Over 100 senior executives from around the world will be taking part in a special leadership discussion panel at RSM Erasmus University. This panel will be organised on Monday, 26 March 2007 as part of their participation in the Global Executive OneMBA Programme. The Global Executive OneMBA is the world’s most globally orientated MBA programme aimed at senior executives from all over the world. It is consortium programme run by 5 top schools from around the globe (www.onemba.org)

The panel will be addressing the issues of: “Business Government & Society: Collaborating for Sustainability and Economic Growth”. This is a central theme of the OneMBA programme this week and aligns with RSM Erasmus University’s climate neutral and greening the campus events the following day. In particular, the panelists will be responding to issues raised by the recent “Stern Review 2007: The Economics of Climate Change”, including the suggestion that “climate change presents a unique challenge for economics: it is the greatest and widest-ranging market failure ever seen.”

A number of key panelists will be involved:

• Mr. Staffan de Mistura, Director, UN Systems Staff College (former UN Special Representative in Iraq)
• Mr. Matthias Weidinger, VP Strategy & Program Director, Philips, Supply Chain Management
• Mr. Rob Kool, Manager International Sustainable Development, SenterNovem
• Ms. Justine Sefton, Policy Adviser (Asia&Europe) Alternative Energy Division, BP
• Mr. Steve Sawyer, Head of Greenpeace International's Climate-/Energy Campaign (new position as Secretary General of Global Wind Energy Council per 2 April 2007)
• Mr Dave Bond, Panel Facilitator, Chair of the Global Executive OneMBA Committee.

The global executive audience will be encouraged to explore the range of responses pertinent to their businesses and their roles as business leaders.
