UNC’s OneMBA class of 2007 prepares for the Europe Residency with the help of a visiting professional leader from Poland

Robert Girejko, a Humphrey Fellow studying at UNC and a citizen of Poland, recently spoke to the UNC class, in preparation for their upcoming Europe Residency in Rotterdam and Gdansk, Poland. As a Humphrey Fellow, Girejko is one of the international professionals selected for a year of study in the US based on his potential for national leadership and commitment to public service to his country.

During his meeting with OneMBA participants, Girejko provided a local’s perspective into the history, culture, and emerging business environment of Poland. He also shared his memories of growing up in communist Poland, including standing in line for food when everything was rationed, except vinegar and salt.

The UNC class will join OneMBA executives from Europe, Asia, and Latin America as they visit the port of Gdansk and an electronics company in Tczew, Poland in late March 2006.
