Luiz Artur Ledur Brito

Operations Management Professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas - EAESP since 2003. Developed a career as an executive having served in several senior management positions in South America and Europe . Worked for 22 years for the Bunge group being responsible for operations and general management positions. From 1993 to 1996, was Operations Director of a group company (Beoco Ltd) in Liverpool, U.K. From 1998 to 2002, acted as a senior manager of Dixie Toga, a leading packaging company in South America , as a general manager of a joint venture with Bemis Inc. in the region. From 2002 onwards, has dedicated himself full time to the academic career with a priority in research in the areas of strategy and operations. His main research theme is firm performance variability and its explanation.
