Dr. Fernando Mata

Professor of Operations
Dr. Fernando Mata is a professor at EGADE. His expertise areas are supply chain management, measures of corporate performance, corporate logistics, strategic operations management, benchmarking, project management and manufacturing strategies. He has developed projects and training programs in those areas for NASA, National Science Foundation (NSF), CONACyT, Sony, Coca-Cola, Cinsa, Gamesa, Pemex, Femsa, Vitro, Zenith, General Electric, AHMSA and Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI), among others. He is president of the Monterrey Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and vicepresident of the Monterrey’s Roundtable of the Council of Logistics Management. Dr. Mata obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Ohio, obtaining the award of best doctoral thesis by The Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS) in 1991. He earned his MBA from American University and a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from ITESM (graduated with Honors).
